Movement Medicine workshops
Immersive DanceDo you want to ignite your fire? Do you want a space where you can dance how you want? A place where there is room to move? A place where you feel safe and free? And you want some great tunes? Then Immersive Dance is for you! Immersive Dance takes you on a musical movement journey. Each month we will dance with a specific theme and connect to our strengths and resources inside. We will weave the elements of earth, fire, water, wind, and ether through our bodies and bring these out through movement. The immersive supports you to go deeper into the dance, to be held by structure and at the same time to have space and freedom to dance how you want and bring whatever you’re feeling. It is an opportunity to dance with others in a safe and sober space and create community. Great tunes, a beautiful space, and friendly vibes - Come and immerse yourself in the dance! 'Thank you for an amazing evening, facilitated with such care and passion' ~ Immersive Dancer, 2025 Monthly Immersive is held at Studio70, 70 Victoria Road, Govanhill, G42 7AA, Glasgow. |

REPLENISH: Embodied Day Retreat for Helping Professionals & Caregivers
Sunday 22nd February 10 am – 5 pm Is your job to support others? Are you a caregiver? How often do you prioritise time to nurture yourself and ensure it doesn't get overridden by other ‘more important’ tasks? Would you like a dedicated space where you are held, expanded, and supported? To those of you who hold everyone else, and who feel stretched thin by your own compassion: REPLENISH is an invitation to YOU. Restore your nervous system Realign your boundaries Return to yourself Our Intentions for the Day: • Embody Boundaries: Discover the wisdom of your ‘Yes’ and the clarity of your ‘No.’ • Fine-Tune Your Awareness: Listen to your body’s signals to return your nervous system to calm and safety. • Integrate Compassion: Balance your care for others with a deep tending to your own soul. • Spark your joy! An essential reset for helpers & caregivers: weaving Movement Medicine®, expressive arts, and purposeful intention-setting—to help you nurture the space between your service to others and your care for yourself. We will also spend some time outdoors, connecting with the land. My work is informed by training in physical theatre, bringing movement and story into embodied learning. "Expertly led by Carolyn. NEW YEAR OVERNIGHT CEREMONY
The turning of the year is a wonderful opportunity. It is a time to reflect, honour and celebrate the year that has gone. And it is a moment to renew our love for ourselves and for Life. And what better time to shed the skins of old unhelpful patterns, and step refreshed into the future? In this two day workshop we will have time to dance, and talk and share. And there will be a deep ceremony in which to surrender to something MUCH bigger than ourselves, and receive support from the mystery that lies at the heart of everything. We will dance and workshop all through the day of Hogmanay. And then after nightfall, we will open a ceremonial space, in which to dance and daydream and write and meditate. We will dance till beyond midnight… welcoming 2025. And then (still deep in ceremony) we will sleep and nightdream. And in the morning, we will capture the wisdom and wildness of all our dreams and longings, and fully embrace and the potential and delight of the brand new year. Where: The Woodland Canopy, Falkland Woods, KY15 7AF Time: 11.30 on 31st December to 4.30 on New Year's Day Cost: £120 / £100 if paid in full by December 1st. Dancing with Life
An ongoing group dancing with the seasons “Dance first! Think later!!” That might seem like very odd advice. Movement Medicine teaches us that it is the best advice you could get. Quite simply the bigger our feelings are, the stronger our dancer needs to be. The ‘strength’ of the Dancer lies in becoming more and more aware of what is going on for us, and more and more able to move the body to get some support for the intensity of our experience. “Set the body in motion and the psyche will heal itself” Gabrielle Roth. We will use the tools of Movement Medicine and the rhythm of the Celtic Medicine Wheel to take the dance a little deeper; and to allow the wisdom and joy you experience on the dancefloor to have a deeper impact on the rest of your life. Nature is such a wonderful teacher for us. And a beautiful resource. This is a dive into how Movement Medicine can support us to open our hearts to all that is possible. It is an ongoing group, and there is the possibility of mutual support with the small community that dances together all through the year.
